Teodor Curentzis and musicAeterna

On September 12, the Zaryadye concert hall hosted a musicAeterna concert conducted by Teodor Curentzis as part of the Russian creative week in Moscow. The concert opened with a marathon of chamber music of the XX-XXI centuries. Works by Alexander Knaifel, Luigi Nono, Marko Nikodievich, Arvo pärta, Shelsi, Yanis Xenakis and the premiere of Alexey Retinsky’s “Rex Tremendae ” were performed.
In the second section, the musicAeterna orchestra under the direction of Teodor Curentzis presented the Lux Aeterna (“Eternal light”) program, which combines ten centuries of Russian and European sacred music. The choir performed Alexey Retinsky’s ” Salve Regina” from the Mariana Antiphons cycle.
